Path around trees, condo sun

Near the canal there is a winding bike path that goes around these red-bark pine trees. Similar trees are found up and down the bike path all the way east along the st Lawrence. These ones are just around Peel basin. I was trying to find my way across the canal to get over to Nun's Island to paint the flowering magnolia trees.

The previous painting had to dry before the trees could be added. So I turned to my right and painted some of the towering condo buildings with the sun trying to shine through the clouds. When painting condos like this, its good to exaggerate the colours a bit and embellish the composition so as to create as much visual interest as possible. The two holes in the top left are from a staple, this is the back of a painting I cut up that had been stapled to the wood rack.
