Pink house and Buck moon over Turcot

After painting the iconic scene of fireworks over Montreal, which I will post shortly, I figured the night's painting trip was over. Then I turned and saw this incredible scene looking down into st henri where there is a large abandoned factory with a pink house on top. The house is part of the factory, but some vigilante artists painted it pink with a green roof, they even installed face shutters and flower planters, and as I noticed tonight, they wired the inside of it to have light. Trust me, its not a real house, although now I think maybe people are staying there?

I was wondering if the moon would make an appearance, in fact, the night I painted this July 10th was the full moon, its called a buck moon for some reason. According to the internet AI, Native American Algonquin people called it the buck moon because buck deer grow antlers at this time. I didn't see any deer around to confirm but its a likely story. At the bottom of the painting I depicted the sweeping, looping highways of the Turcot interchange. I got the view standing on the st Jacques bridge, which has LED lighting and strong flood lights making it easy to paint there. I also had the head lamp with me, which I wore as a necklace almost, pointing the light down at my paper and palette. The sky colour, by the way, is mostly indo blue (PB60) with pyrol orange (PO73), that combination I discovered many years ago, it creates the perfect sky purples and dark blues.
