Cilei and I got on a plane yesterday and took a surprise vacation to Barbados. This is a painting of the sunset that evening. The flight was great and we loved the hotel and food so far. Good to get away from Montreal!

Here is a painting of the pool in the back of the hotel where we are staying, Southern Surf. The staff is friendly and the rooms are neat and clean. The best part is that the beach is just across the street and you can hear the waves. Cilei enjoys the WiFi too.

We took a day-cruise boat ride and I made a quick painting of this yellow boat that was anchored. People were snorkeling beside the boat, it must have been a guided tour. If Cilei liked to swim maybe she would do that. I am just afraid of sharks even though the locals tell us there are none.

Later in the day we took a bus out to Speightstown and I made a painting of this clock tower with a gloomy sky. As I painted, I had a funny feeling that I had been there before, and made all these painting before. Must be a coincidence!
