World Inspired Landscapes: Slovakia

Slovakia was inhabited since antiquity, evidence of Slavs go back to 5th century. Since then, it appears that the country was conquered by nearly every regional power in history, and yet came out relatively intact after separating from Czechia. They had been combined into Czechoslovakia by the Soviets. Now they are part of the European Union and United Nations and have a highly developed wealthy country. The history goes so far back, some of the earliest European artifacts have been found at estimated date of 270,000 BCE... I had to look twice at the number, not sure what BCE stands for exactly, but that's a long time ago! Its Fred Flinstone era at least, and the black and white version even its that old. The geography contains even older mountains ranges, valleys, rivers, underground caverns, and lush forests. Similar to Canada, the leaves change colour here as you see in the painting. If anything this was a "Bob Ross" painting, he was the famous TV oil painter with the large hair who used to paint happy trees, and daub in the mountains. I've never actually painted in a place like this, on location, it would be kind of neat to do so. Maybe a trip to Slovakia is in the cards.
