More Sun More Fun

After painting a few cadaverous grey and blue paintings it was nice to apply some colour to the paper in this abstract painting. It was partly meant to be a test of two new paints I just received from Kama Pigments called yellow ochre (PY43) and hansa yellow medium (PY97) both by Daniel Smith company. In the summer time I usually go through a lot of yellow paint, so these two paints should be able to do some work. The yellow ochre is slightly orange tinted compared to the yellow ochre I currently have from Da Vinci. The hansa yellow is very strong and also slightly leaning towards the orange direction. The painting contains a variety of yellows and ochres since I was testing out the strengths and differences of the new paints. Now we just need a bit of sun to get through the clouds.
