Provigo on Sherbrooke has a large parking lot that backs onto the Benny housing and cultural development. I painted a classic scene of the line up during the beginning of the pandemic from a similar vantage point. This time there was a giant pile of snow, at least 5 or 6 meters high from the parking lot clearing over the winter. It was quite solid and I found a path to the top, it was kind of shaped like the north face of Everest! So now I climbed M2 and fake-Everest. To take advantage of the view I composed a scene with the sky rise apartment on the left, and the Meldrum movers sign at the bottom right. Provigo's roof line runs across the bottom of the picture. It was very windy and cold at the top, falling off would have been embarrassing, at least I survived to show the evidence.
