Towards downtown Montreal there are some brief views across the river and of the amusement park on ile st Helen. A lone sail boat was zipping up and down the river enjoying the strong winds. The bike path was completely exposed to the wind making for some difficult painting conditions, my bike almost blew over a few times. In the foreground you see the colourful shipping containers on the train tracks that stretch for several kilometers.

In the version you can see the roller coaster across the river in the amusement park la Ronde, with the sail boat going by, and some shipping containers and oil tankers in the foreground. Its a good scene, between the two paintings, I could go back and do a larger one to combine the elements. But today the wind was too much and I headed back into the city.
