Squirrels never seem idle always looking for their next meal. When I took a seat in Trenholme Park they congregated around me looking for handouts. Alas no peanuts this time. After a few minutes they went back to foraging in the shade as you see in this painting. I had brought some Stoneground Paint Company pans with me on the trip but never used them. On the way back from dropping the car off I stopped at Trenholme and found a good scene. The base was with Stoneground earth colours, then I finished with my normal palette to spice up the colours. They also sell very bright and even pearlescent paints but I mostly bought their earth colours. This painting was signed with my normal signature as opposed to the PJD that I have been using all year. 6 x 7.5" cold press watercolour, July 2020
