Spring Fawns Dancing Across a Sun-kissed Meadow |
This is one of the Endless Colour paintings, which now have their own page called
Endless Colour Paintings. This painting used a strong wash of lemon yellow (PY175), it was super intense, then covered with french ultramarine mixed with lemon yellow. I am especially proud of the attention to detail, the texture on the spring fawns is very precise, you can almost see every hair on their fur coats. To capture this many spring fawns dancing across a sun kissed meadow takes years of practice. I have to thank Dad for the idea, he is quite a poet, and now you know it! 22 x 30" cold press, 300lb, watercolour, 2020 ( B side of flowers in a box).
