Reflecting on the 27 stations of the green line series, I decided to do one more painting of the Atwater station because the original paintings seemed to miss something. In fact, there was another entrance to the station hidden in these towering black skyscrapers in Westmount a block away from the main entrances of the station. Instead of painting it head on, I found an interesting reflection of the sign in the glass wall of one of the lobbies. For natural elements there are trees, reflections of trees, and a lobby palm behind the glass. I would have done more today but it started raining and I was tired. I will put this picture in the main blog post about the Atwater station. 6.5 x 7" cold press, watercolour, August 2020
