After the Verdun trip yesterday I did another palette cleaning, some of the paints were almost finished on the palette so I used them on this painting and then squeezed out some fresh paint onto the palette. I also have a second palette I use at home, so I scraped off some of that paint and transferred it to my location palette. The only difference between the two palettes is the 'home' palette is bigger and holds 28 colours, while my travel palette is smaller and only holds 22 colours. The big one blows around in the wind and is hard on the thumb, so I am using the smaller one for locations. The yellow here is a mix of my two bright yellows, benzimida yellow (PY154) and the intense bismuth yellow (PY184). The other colours are ferrari red PR254, perylene maroon (PR179), indothrene blue ith phthalo blue (PB60 and PB15) and lamp black (PBk6). 9 x 12" watercolour paper, watercolour, 2020
