Vincent Study 6

Being cooped up this year, I am going through old paintings and slowly scanning and posting them on the blog. I started naming the ones without names so that I can catalogue the work. My long term plan is to make a catalogue of all my paintings with title, size, paper, and linked to a scanned thumbnail. It's going to take awhile since I have thousands to go through, and a lot of them are painted on both sides. The Vincent studies done about 2 years ago were an exploration of Van Gogh's vibrant style using an abstract lens. The earlier posts included Vincent Study 1, Vincent Study 2, Vincent Study 3, and Vincent Study 4. Each of those were recently updated to show what is on the B side of them! You can click the links to explore the old blogs and see the B sides. 6 x 8" hot press, watercolour, 2018

On the back of this painting, there was an abstract I painted: I called it 'Stop, Caution, Go, Other' because there were red, yellow, green, and blue lights in the top right, like a traffic light but an extra blue added. I penciled in the name year and my initials on these paintings, although it may not be in the scanned versions.
