Monk Boulevard bridge, watercolour 5 x 7" cold press, April 2024
Just on Eglise street there was an interesting yellow sign and colourful rusty drums. The currugated fence had graffiti on it which added even more colour to the scene. Despite the desolate and somewhat lonely scene, this painting still coveys a sense of warmth and light. One day most of these old shops will be condos, so may as well paint for posterity.Church Truck Shop, watercolour 5 x 7" cold press, April 2024
There was a lot to take in with this scene, with the autoroute 15 bridge in the background and an interesting turquoise and stone walled building. With a bigger piece of paper this would be a good scene to try again, there is even a bike path and sliver of the canal visible in the distance.
