A Few More Paintings of Bolton

Here are a few more that didn't make the blog, the first one shows my Parent's front walkway in spring/summer. The interlocking bricks made for an interesting pattern, and the geraniums really popped against all the greens and the neutral brick.

This one shows a party frozen pond in fall, parts of the ice were melted and reflecting the trees. Painting ice/snow mixtures is always a challenge, the differences are subtle. Since they finished renovating this pond it is a good subject to paint. I actually painted this view, and probably those same trees in a 1993 painting done from photograph, gee, that was 30 years ago!
