Icy Trees, Benny Park

Recently I did a painting of people skating up at Beaver Lake, this time I found a group of trees that were surrounded by some frozen melt water. It looked like they were skating! A squirrel was perched on top of the cyan garbage can, it was thrashing around a paper bag looking for scraps. One of the park benches was frozen into the quagmire too. The ice had a grey colour with streaks of orange, and it was reflecting the trees and surrounding snow. In the background is Cavendish boulevard which I rendered quickly due to freezing hands! I should have worn the moose mitts but the base temperature wasn't so cold just the windchill. That is all I did today on location, maybe tomorrow I can get out for more, it promises to be sunny at least.
