At the center of Girouard park there is a tall stone statue surrounded by stairs, plants in boxes and a wide circular interlocking brick stone patio. With cooler air and more pleasant conditions, it was great to sit here on a bench and make a few paintings. The colour scheme here was very warm, that is, yellowish foliage and a grey-red brick tone. Someone walked by and complimented the artwork.

It was such a nice place to sit in the shade, I made a painting of me painting. To my right its the little cup I use for water, its dirty water. The round stone bricks are in the background.

Strewn throughout the park are deck chairs in various colours including pale green, black, red, cream and white. The chairs are tricky to paint due to their odd angles and details. Then I filled in the grass with an olive green tone made mostly with yellow (PY154), dark green (PBk31) and orange-yellow (PY110).
