Cowansville day 2

Cowansville is a small town built up around several highways in the Eastern Townships. There are a lot of retirement homes and beauty salons here but not too many parks. We found a great vegetarian restaurant here and right next to it was a view of the lake. I did a typical lake scene, there were seagulls floating in a large group towards the center left. The purple colour in the distance was phthalo green with quinacridone purple, and some yellow. It makes a prussian/indigo blue kind of colour.

And then I did a view of the shoreline and my foot...I was sitting on the side of a small outcrop. Both paintings are 5"x7 cold press watercolour.August 2020

The third painting was of the tall pine trees outside the B&B they must be hundreds of years old. To make them look tall I warped the perspective so you kind of look up when viewing the painting. There were squirrels and birds all over the place.
