The Grapes of Tuscany

This will have to do for now, a photo of the 2002 painting, The Grapes of Tuscany which was a commission for my late Uncle Ross based on a photo he took on one of his trips to Tuscany. It was the first painting I did on the rack,  eventually this was framed and hung at their house above the mantle. I hid a few things in there like a yin-yang, and a Montreal Canadiens symbol in the grapes. It was much admired by Uncle Ross. The cool purple colours are really... cool, I wonder how I did it? Probably french ultramarine and rose madder genuine. I have the vaguest of memories of painting this one, the leaves were very tricky I recall. 22 x 30" cold press, watercolour, 2002
