A few more scenes from downtown

On the way back I stopped at the graffiti warehouse again, and made a painting featuring my initials. It was a complex painting with multi-layered textures and colours. As I painted my audacious initials it gave a feeling that maybe the graffiti artist felt when they did the work (with different initials). I think the warehouse is still in use, but the roof looks pretty rough.

I stopped to make a painting of the old port, there is a jumble of structures here. Even though it was 8 x 10 inch, I think the scene would need an even bigger size of paper to get it right. The first part of "Farine Five Roses" turned out to say "Fart Fiver" which made me laugh.

On park Drapeau there are some great views of the river and bridges. Here you see at the top of the painting is the bottom of the Confederation bridge, in the background is the Victoria bridge with the Champlain bridge and ice control bridge barely visible behind it. Some construction barriers and a damaged fence adorned the foreground. The painting turned out surprisingly realistic.
