Rocking Chair Heirloom

In high school art class we were tasked with making a sketch every week. Using my new found skills in watercolour, I created an image of an old family heirloom rocking chair we had in the house, it had chestnut stained carved frames and velvety green fabric. It is interesting that I could mix the right colour of green, it is a pea-soup neutral green technically called olive. Considering which colours I had it must have been aureolin yellow with some alizarin red and touches of viridian gue (phthalo green). I couldn't have done much better today! The brown is also very warm and nutty, just like it was. There was an elaborate grape bunch and vines carved into it, but the drawing doesn't show it off. The peach background is a nice touch. I am just showing the better drawings, there is a lot of creative (weird) stuff in there too!
