Trapped under the ice

Naming these has been as fun as painting them, and the feedback has been a riot too. Mr. Clarke (former highschool art teacher) saw a panda hiding in a strawberry field, and Cilei saw a dinosaur in 'Blood Cell Clotting Factor" When I looked at this one it looked like someone under a sheet of ice, scraping to get out... it was so hot that day I may have been hoping it was  me (with a breathing apparatus of course). The under-painting is with PB27 prussian blue, which is over-painted with french ultramarine blue. It was done on the back of 'flower boxes pink and green' a 22 x 30" 300lb (thick) cold press paper. I have to stop painting on the back of things sometimes people want to buy one. At least it would be 2 for the price of 1! These paintings are called endless colour series. July 2020
