Metro Grocery Store, Somerled Avenue

Here is a view of the Metro grocery store, (not the public transit system). The sun was going down which created a warm glow on the bricks. Lately I have been trying to work people and cars into my location paintings which presents a number of new challenges. I got three people and 1 car in this one. It does take the attention away from other elements, I see the perspective was off on the building a little bit. The brick colour is burnt sienna, phthalo green, yellow-orange, and a touch of black, then diluted. In fact I could have just used raw sienna straight up without a complicated mix, but I didn't have any on my palette. I may start using the bigger palette and see how that goes. The figures are kind of neat at least each one of them has a different pose and their scaling is good. They are just a centimeter tall in the painting so the brushwork has to be fine.
